Gumas x10 Just Released!

We are glad to announce the finalization of our "Gumas x10" which is aimed at teaching the multiplications table (aka the times table) for all multiplications up to 10x10.
It took us 3 years to the develop this us, while testing the results on kids and adapting the teaching method until we got this final product.
We copy here the help text of the application:

Welcome to Gumas x10 !
Learn the multiplication table with our fun, efficient and challenging app!

The first levels of this app are free of charge. For the full learning experience the price is less than $3. To purchase the full version, go to the settings menu and select "Buy Full Version".

How to play?

Hit 'Test me', select a player from the list and start testing yourself. For each question the app will offer several answers. Choose the correct answer as quickly as possible. On completing a session of 12 questions, the app will show a summary of the test results. You then press the 'hand-button' to continue to the next test. Players continue from the point they left in their last session.

This game insists on correct answers. You will earn nothing by guessing. One who answers quickly and wrongly, will get two ״penalty monsters״ which cause the next two answers to be ignored.

Game walkthrough

The multiplication table consists of 100 exersizes. The learning is divided into four levels:
Level 1 - Multiplications of eight
Level 2 - Up to multiplications of five
Level 3 - Up to multiplications of seven
Level 4 - Multiplications of nine & ten

Each of these levels is sub-devided into four steps:

1. Initial memorization of questions and their respective answers
2. Star - solving the exercises in less than 3.5 seconds by selecting the correct answer from one of two possible answers
3. Double Star - solving the exercises in less than 2.5 seconds by selecting the correct answer from one of three possible answers
4. Triple Star - solving the exercises in less than 1.5 seconds by selecting the correct answer from one of four possible answers

For the first two steps, a ״skip״ button, which appears at the bottom of the screen, allows you to skip to the next step. Press it, if this step is too easy. You can't skip the last two steps.

The progress of the levels is represented by the following rank icons:

The real fun begins, once you have completed the four levels of the initial learning. Now you will be tested on all the 100 exercises, in time limits which become shorter and shorter. You earn ranks for quicker response times, as described in the following table

1.5 seconds - Diamond
1.3 seconds - Double Diamond
1.1 seconds - Triple Diamond
0.95 seconds - Crown
0.9 seconds - Double Crown

A player who gets the Double Crown, knows the multiplication table perfectly. It takes around 1-2 hours.

Friendly Tips

Positive reinforcement. The app presents the accumulating learning time for each player. Parents are encouraged to reward their children as they gather learning time.

Family competition. Who will be the first to earn two crowns? Parents can join the fun too!

More about using this app

• The Main Menu always appears on startup, and can be accessed from other screens by pressing the button with the house icon:
• This app can be used by hearing impared - all audio effects are backed with visual texts.
• A time measurement ruler appears for each test question. This ruler shows two 'heart' marks: one indicates the expected response time, and the other shows the previous achievement for the same question.
• This app collects usage statistics and report it to our web site. The gathered data will allow us to improve our teaching methods in the upcoming versions.
